About our patios work

A patio is usually the part of the garden you use most. It is where the table goes, where the kettle gets carried out on a warm evening, and where the garden is viewed from. Getting the size, position and level right makes all the difference to how often you actually use it.

We lay patios across Basingstoke, Andover, Newbury and the surrounding areas, preparing the ground properly so that the finished surface stays even, drains away from the house and still looks good in years to come.

Common questions

What size should my patio be?: It depends on the furniture you want to fit and how much room you like around it. We usually mark the area out on site so you can see it at full size before anything is laid.
Do you take away the old patio?: Yes. Removing and disposing of an existing surface can be included in your quotation, so you know the full cost up front.
Will the patio drain properly?: The finished surface is laid with a slight fall away from the building so surface water runs off rather than sitting on the paving.
Can you lay a patio on a sloping garden?: Often yes, usually with a low retaining wall or a step or two. We will look at the levels during our visit and explain the options.
